The Threefold Snarl

The Threefold Snarl is led by goblin triplets Snip, Whisk, and Grit—near-identical riders who swap masks and finish each other’s barks. They camp somewhere deep in Canyonstep Country and keep moving, striking Dustveil Crossing in short raids: a rush of hyena-mounted goblins to grab purses, sacks, and light freight, then gone before the sheriff can muster a posse. They avoid tough targets, scout for a day beforehand, and won’t hit if they spot armed escorts or see the chapel bell’s watch posted.

Their ambushes are simple but sharp: a decoy spill of crates or a “thirsty traveler” at dusk, then a quick surround on the downwind side. The triplets use whistles to coordinate packs and colored scraps on spear shafts to signal grab, scatter, or call it off. They sell loot fast in back-alley stalls and stash the rest in dry side gullies marked only by their notch-code. Locals curse them, but most admit the Snarl rarely kills unless cornered—and they always flee a fair fight.

When the triple took over the gang became more feared and much more violent, killings were common place as way the use of dynamite and more violent terror tactics!
