Josselyn Eisenhorn was born into a family of minor nobility in the Redmond barony. She was the youngest of three daughters, and her parents were strict but loving. She was raised to be a proper lady, learning the arts of embroidery, music, and dance. However, Josselyn was always more interested in learning about strategy and combat. She would often sneak into the family library to read books about war tactics and history. When Josselyn was 17, she met Ivon Eisenhorn during a tournament in the Barony. They fell in love at first sight, and were married the following year. Josselyn became Lady of Bullholm and dedicated herself to managing the estate and raising their two sons, Jacov and Didric. She proved to be a capable and shrewd manager, and her efforts helped to increase the prosperity of Bullholm.
Despite her skills in managing the estate, Josselyn also had a fiery temper and a strong sense of justice. She was not afraid to speak her mind, even to her husband, and would often argue with him about his actions in battle. Ivon valued her opinion greatly, and would often take her advice into consideration when making important decisions. Josselyn was also fiercely protective of her sons, especially Jacov, who was her firstborn and heir to Bullholm. As the Dominion Church gained more power in the Barony, Josselyn became increasingly concerned about their influence. She saw them as a threat to the independence of Bullholm and to the freedom of the people. She often spoke out against them, even though it put her family in danger.
