Samuel was born and raised in Falktown. His childhood was good despite losing his parents early in his life, he had good people around him so Samuel never fell off his path. His father, Richard Kensley worked hard as an Artisan. Their relationship was friendly but was cut short after he passed away from sickness when Samuel was 17. Samuel was hit hard by the loss of his father however his mother, Kendra Kortess, was a career Soldier. She quickly helped Samuel get through his grief and trained him hard. Their relationship was good but harsh however it turned sour after she remarried after his father's passing. She passed away shortly there after due to suffering from a fatal injury during training. Samuel was 20 at the time and saw it happen. He promised her in her last moments that he would keep Falktown safe, so he worked his way to become a Sergeant in the Falktown guard at the age of 25. He was a good and well liked leader of lesser men.
The only family he had left was an older step-brother from his mother's last marriage. Theodor Rich, a few years older than Samuel. He grew up along the Church, he became the youngest Bishop of Greenfield. Their relationship was bare but kept in touch at times.
One day Samuel was ordered to march out of Falktown to meet up with a group of refugees who sought safety in Falktown. He gathered some of his recruits thinking it would be a simple workout to escort some refugees. Once they met up and set up camp by the road, they fed some before getting ready to move back to Falktown. Suddenly they were met by a group of travelling adventurers who were on their way towards Falktown as well, one of them claimed to be a Knight, his name was Bartimaeus and challenged one of Samuel's men in a friendly duel. The brave young soldier was named Billy and was eager to prove himself. However the fight was short and ended violantly when a crossbow bolt suddenly pierced the eye of Billy. Samuel jumped into action and formed a shield wall with his men towards the incoming threat. It turned out to be a small company of Dominion Knights who was charging the camp and refugees. The adventureres helped out and Samuel told his men to retreat to Falktown to keep the refugees safe.
Samuel later encountered the same adventureres in Falktown and aided them in getting an audience with the Lord of Falktown, Nikolay Von Keiner. Samuel became a little infatuated by one of the adventureres, he asked Bartimaeus out for a drink at the local tavern. Some night later the Guard had been warned about suspicious activity and was searching Falktown for any trouble. It was then Samuel and some of the other Guards were ambushed by two rabid wolf creatures, he put up a fight however he could not overpower nor outmanouver the creatures. They tore him and his men to shreds before being put down by Eleanor Watson and the new Falktown guard with firearms.
Samuel was 28. Buried in Falktown.
