Blue Meadowpawn

Component / Consumable

The Blue Meadowpawn is a captivating and hazardous giant blue mushroom that thrives exclusively within the depths of the enigmatic Stormwoods. Its distinct blue cap and slender stem make it a captivating sight amidst the dense forest foliage, attracting the attention of curious explorers and alchemical enthusiasts. However, this mushroom carries a potent toxin that can have significant effects on those who come into contact with it.

When the Blue Meadowpawn is disturbed or harmed, it releases a toxic gas as a defensive mechanism. This gas carries potent poison properties, causing harm to any creatures within a 10-foot radius of the mushroom. Any creature within range must make a Constitution saving throw to resist the effects. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d8 poison damage. Those with vulnerabilities or weaknesses to poison may suffer even greater harm. However, the toxic gas does not induce vomiting.

While the Blue Meadowpawn's toxicity poses a significant threat, some individuals with sinister intentions may find potential uses for its toxic properties. The extracted toxin can be harnessed to induce vomiting in certain circumstances, such as cases of poisoning or the need to purge the body of harmful substances.

If consumed, the Blue Meadowpawn has a debilitating effect on the creature. The individual becomes poisoned for a duration of 2 hours, experiencing symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, and weakness. This can hinder their ability to function optimally during that time.
