The Cloudcutter is an arcane-powered light class airship which have been heavily modified with countless additions to improve its speed and cargo hold. It houses two large cloud crystal which has been extremely tampered with to make the ship be able to carry more. It is operating legally under Imperial contract as a cargo ship which allows it to have heavy weapons mounted onto its deck in order to defend itself against pirates or other threats among the clouds. However not so legally, the Cloudcutter also operates as a hunting ship and delves into smuggling.

Among the clouds around the Empire exist rare creatures known as "Storm Whales", they are enormous ray-like beasts that migrate from the Imperial Bay and across the Lunora skies to the northern coasts. Captain Proudtail and his crew has managed to track their migration patterns and hunt them. Having one of the fastest airship known in their part of the world makes things easier. However they do not hunt the whales themselves, they have a special type of barnacle living on them that are worth their weight in platinum. The Cloudcutter finds the oldest whales and they tail them while the Hunters onboard dive onto the backs of the whales and collect as many barnacle they can carry. The crew of the Cloudcutter are veterans when it comes to jobs like that. But they are not the only ones hunting the whales during their migration, various other creatures will attempt to hunt them which will put the crew in danger. The weapons onboard the Cloudcutter varies from destination to destination. The Captain values the ships speed the most and will arm the Cloudcutter accordingly, heavy cargo means lighter weapons and lighter cargo means heavy weapons. As long as the ship can outrun the Sky Federation and the Imperial authorities he is pleased.

One time the Cloudcutter was hired to aid a group of adventureres named Mirann, Autumn, Satix, Khyber and Kallista. Captain Proudtail was helped with getting his official papers in order when docked in the capital of the Empire. In return they took them to various locations in hope there would be great treasures to split among them. This did not turn out to be as lucrative as the crew had hoped and eventually they parted ways with the adventureres.
