Whitechapel, once a booming city of rich mining before they mined everything. The city now sits upon countless mining tunnels and empty riverbeds. The few mines that are still operating are running thin on resources and rumours coming out from the city say things lurk in the dark reaches of the old mines and even within the city streets at night. The city is forever covered in ashened clouds which blocks much of the sun and the city houses various gladiator games to entertain the population. Former miners have become gladiators in hope of gaining coin and fame.

Places of interest.

  • The Blood Pit. A small open arena in the city where locals can watch various blood games for entertainment. It has been a fixture of the city for generations, with the most talented fighters and warriors coming to compete in the pit. The games held here are often brutal, but the locals can't seem to get enough of the excitement it provides.

  • Heimworth: The local pub in the area, a small but popular waterhole for the locals to gather and socialize. It is ran by the young man Danny, who inherited it from his father. Danny has turned the pub into a place where people can come and relax after a long day of work, drink a few beers, and play some games with friends.

  • Mine Chosen: A fighters guild made up of former miners who have taken up arms to fight in the gladiatorial games held in the Blood Pit. They are fierce fighters and are not to be trifled with. The guild is led by a former miner turned gladiator, a human named Zavier Saul.

  • Abandoned Church: An old Dominion church that is no longer in use. Some poor people take shelter there from the harsh life on the streets of Whitechapel. There are rumors that the church is haunted, but nobody has ever been brave enough to investigate.

  • Grand Bargains: The local general store, a small shop with a bit of everything in it, old and new. It is owned and ran by Calvin Caul, who has a reputation for being a shrewd negotiator. He has a knack for finding great deals and passing the savings on to his customers.

  • The Black Forge: The local forge, where weapons and armor are crafted for the fighters of the Blood Pit. It is owned by the dwarf Levi Sten, while two and a half blacksmiths work there. A quiet dragonborn called Red Mortikal and the conjoined twins Bella and Fin. Fin is a strong smith while Bella is a cunning smith for details. They take great pride in their work and are known for creating some of the finest weapons and armor in the land.

  • Far Away Findings: A magical shop that sells and collects arcane items. Owned by the mystic Celemin, along with her apprentice Henry, the shop is filled with strange and mysterious objects. Celemin is a powerful mage who has dedicated her life to studying the arcane and collecting rare and exotic magical items.

  • The Clean Cup: The Clean Cup is another small tavern in the city Whitechapel ran by the Duddly family, three brothers Jacob, Linus and Rick. It is a favorite spot for the locals to gather and discuss the latest news and gossip in the city regarding the big blood games. The atmosphere is friendly among those in the know, and the drinks are cheap, making it a popular spot for those on a budget.

  • Manning Estate: A small estate and home of Lord Matthew Manning, a noble of Whitechapel. Manning is well-respected by the locals and is known for his generosity and charitable works. His estate is a symbol of his status in the community and is often used for social events and parties.

  • Steinheart Manor: A large manor and home to the Steinheart family, who rule over Whitechapel. They are a powerful family who have been in charge for generations, and they are not to be crossed. They are known for their strict laws and their brutal punishments for those who break them.

  • The Dark Alibi: A large inn outside of the city walls. It is a popular stop for those who do not wish to sleep within the city. The inn is known for its comfortable beds, excellent food, and friendly staff. It is also rumored to be a popular spot for smugglers and other unsavory characters.
