Kato Ebonbeard

Blacksmith of Sata
NPC, Blacksmith

Kato Ebonbeard was born into a family of dwarven blacksmiths in Hiki, and he learned the art of blacksmithing and woodworking from a young age. His family was well-known in their home city, for their craftsmanship, and Kato quickly established himself as one of the most talented members of the family. However, Kato grew restless and yearned for adventure, and he left his family's forge to travel the world. During his travels, Kato honed his skills as a blacksmith, and he also picked up a few skills as a fighter and a thief. He joined a group of adventurers and became their go-to weaponsmith and armorer, using his skills to help them on their quests.

Eventually, Kato's life of adventure caught up with him, and he found himself on the wrong side of the law. He and his fellow adventurers were caught in the act of stealing from a wealthy merchant, and they were branded as criminals and forced to flee. Kato and his companions found refuge in the village of Sata, where Kato set up his own forge and began using his skills to create weapons and armor for the local samurai. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the finest blacksmiths in the region, and his shop, Timberforge, became a popular destination for adventurers and samurai alike.

Despite his past as a thief, Kato is respected by the villagers for his skill and his hard work. He is known to be a man of few words, preferring to let his work speak for itself. However, those who take the time to get to know him find him to be a loyal friend and a wise advisor.
