Attunement:

To attune to Liao's Judgement, a character must spend a short rest with the sword in Ben Bolo's forge, focusing on its fiery essence and proving their worth to the god Liao.

Special Abilities:

• Fire's Resilience: While attuned to Liao's Judgement, you have resistance to fire damage.
  
• Ignite: Any nonmagical object made of flammable material that the katana touches ignites and burns.
• Primordial Flames: When you hit a creature with this weapon, the target takes an additional 2d6 fire damage.
  
• Flame's Embrace: Liao's Judgement grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
• Blazing Slash: As an action, you can unleash a wave of fire in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 6d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This ability can be used once per day and recharges at dawn.
• Trial by Fire: When you score a critical hit with Liao's Judgement, the target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be engulfed in flames, taking an additional 2d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it or a creature within 5 feet of it uses an action to extinguish the flames.
