The Scroll of Torrent Blast is said to have been created by a powerful at the Arcane Academy who had a penchant for playing pranks on his fellow wizards. He created the spell as a joke, intending it to be a harmless way to get back at his rivals. However, the spell quickly gained a reputation for being incredibly destructive, and it was eventually banned in most magical circles. Despite its reputation, many mages still make copies of the Scroll for in their collection, viewing it as a last resort when all other options have failed. The spell is incredibly powerful, capable of creating a massive blast of water that can easily knock back enemies and cause significant damage.

However, the spell is also highly unpredictable, and many who have attempted to use it have been injured or killed in the process. As a result, the Scroll of Torrent Blast is considered to be one of the most dangerous elemental spells, and its use is strictly regulated in most magical groups.

Effect: The Scroll of Torrent Blast is a powerful magical scroll that unleashes a blast of water upon its target. Upon activation, a jet of water is launched from the scroll towards the target, dealing 8d6 points of bludgeoning damage. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 15) or suffer the entire blast. The scroll can be used only once and then it crumbles into dust. It requires attunement by a spellcaster who can cast 3rd-level spells or higher.

Crafting Requirements

To craft the Scroll of Torrent Blast, the player will need the following:

  • A piece of parchment paper made from seaweed fiber
  • A vial of purified sea water
  • A small amount of powdered pearl
  • A small amount of powdered coral
  • A feather from a seabird
  • A quill pen made from a fish bone

The parchment paper must be soaked in the purified sea water for 24 hours, then dried and flattened. The powdered pearl and coral are mixed together and sprinkled over the parchment paper. The feather from the seabird is then used as a quill to inscribe the magical symbols and incantations onto the parchment paper, using the fish bone quill pen. The completed scroll is then infused with magic to create the powerful Torrent Blast spell.
