This spell channels the destructive force of a trebuchet and unleashes it upon a targeted area. Upon casting, the scroll will shimmer with bright fire and create a trebuchet model out of radiant flame, it will grow in size to a full-sized trebuchet before unleashing its destructive payload. The Trebuchet Strike spell was created during a fierce rivalry between a wizard and an artificer, both of whom were experts in siege warfare. The wizard claimed that he could create the heaviest siege weapon that was also the lightest at the same time, an impossible feat according to the artificer.

In response, the wizard began to craft a powerful spell that would emulate the power and range of a trebuchet. He poured all of his knowledge and skill into the creation of the spell, determined to prove his worth in the realm of siege warfare. After months of intense work, the Trebuchet Strike spell was finally completed. With it, the wizard could create a massive, magical projectile that would crash down on his enemies from afar. The spell was unlike anything the artificer had ever seen before, and it quickly gained notoriety throughout Rivermond. Today, the Trebuchet Strike spell is considered one of the most formidable magical weapons in existence, and many aspiring war mages strive to master its power. However, it is also considered a dangerous spell, as its raw power can easily get out of control if not used with caution.

Effect: Choose a point within its 300 ft range. All creatures and objects within a 30-foot radius of that point must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 14). On a failed save, they take 4d10 bludgeoning damage + 2d6 fire damage and are knocked prone. On a successful save, they take half as much damage and are not knocked prone. The scroll disintegrates after use.

Crafting Requirements

The crafting requirements for the Scroll of Trebuchet Strike are:

  1. Arcane Essence x10: A rare magical essence that can be obtained from various magical focuses.

  2. A vial of Dragon breath. Can be obtained by asking or to sneak up to a sleeping dragon. Some exotic merchants might sell it.

  3. A vial of Phoenix tears. Can be obtained by successfully extracting tears from a phoenix without harming it. Some exotic merchants might sell it.

  4. A set of runes, inscribed with the power of fire by a powerful fire elemental.

  5. Siege Weapon Blueprint x1: A detailed blueprint of a trebuchet, which is used as a reference for the spell's casting. It is a rare and expensive document that requires significant resources to obtain.

Crafting the Scroll of Trebuchet Strike is a complex and time-consuming process that requires a high level of magical expertise and access to rare materials. Only the most skilled and dedicated spellcasters are capable of creating this powerful spell.
