At the heart of the region lies the City of Tarvik, a thriving coastal settlement nestled on the banks of a small river that flows into the vast western sea known as the Imperial Bay. The river serves as a busy thoroughfare for numerous ships, both local fishing vessels and those coming from distant lands. The city hums with activity as sailors and merchants navigate its bustling docks, exchanging goods and tales of the sea. The Tarvik family, proud descendants of a long line of fishers and sailors, holds a firm grip on the fish markets and naval operations within the city, further solidifying their reputation as masters of the ocean.

Following the river deeper into the region, one arrives at the small yet pivotal town of Sortown. This humble fishing town serves as a crucial hub for the fish trade, as the bountiful catches from the surrounding waters are brought ashore and prepared for distribution. The fish markets of Sortown bustle with activity, as merchants from far and wide flock to secure the freshest catches. To the north of the City of Tarvik stands the imposing stronghold of Shorekeep. This ancient fortress serves as a watchpoint and defense outpost for House Tarvik's personal army. Perched atop a cliff overlooking the coastline, Shorekeep offers a commanding view of the surrounding waters, allowing for swift response to any potential threats that may arise. The stronghold stands as a symbol of House Tarvik's strength and commitment to safeguarding their lands and maritime interests.

Continuing further inlands, the town of Tavik comes into view. Positioned strategically along the main trade route that spans the region, Tavik has grown into an important trading hub. Merchants traveling south or north within the Dominion must pass through Tavik, making it a bustling center of commerce. The town's proximity to the capital city of the Dominion has further elevated its significance, as it serves as a vital link on the trade route that connects the region to the seat of power. The Church, deeply entrenched in the affairs of the Dominion, ensures the protection of Tavik through their watchful presence and the support of House Tarvik's soldiers, maintaining order and safeguarding the town's prosperity.

Located at the northern border of Thornvale, Bronze Harbor stands as a formidable rival to King's Port in the neighboring Westmark. This bustling port city has carved out a niche for itself as a major trading hub, attracting merchants from near and far. Renowned for its smithies and the import and export of various materials, Bronze Harbor plays a pivotal role in the region's economic prosperity. Its location near the border of  House Tarvik and House Silver makes it a vibrant melting pot of trade and cultural exchange, enriching the lives of its inhabitants and solidifying its status as a key player in the Dominion's commerce.

Within Thornvale, two wilderness areas stand out: the Pinefire Woods and the Ogrehome Woods. The Pinefire Woods, aptly named for the wildfires that blaze through its expanse during dry summer seasons, possess a unique and rugged beauty. While the wildfires can be a cause for concern, they also contribute to the forest's rejuvenation, allowing new growth to flourish in their wake. Travelers and locals alike must exercise caution when venturing into these woods, ensuring they are well-prepared for the ever-present risk of fire.

In contrast, the Ogrehome Woods evoke a sense of mystery and danger. Named for the presence of ogres that call the woods their home, these dense and foreboding woodlands are rarely explored by outsiders. The tales of encounters with these formidable creatures have kept all but the bravest or most foolhardy at bay.
