A simple but effective tool for catching and restraining foes, the lasso is favored by ranchers, bounty hunters, and adventurers who traverse the rugged wastelands of the Vache Kingdom or the arid deserts of the Khein Dynasty. The lasso is made of strong and durable rope, typically around 15 feet in length, with a reinforced loop at one end.
Lasso Throw
You can use a lasso to make a ranged weapon attack against a creature that is no more than one size larger than you. The range of the lasso is 20 feet, and its long range is 60 feet. Make a ranged attack roll using your Dexterity modifier and proficiency bonus. On a hit, the creature is grappled by you. The loop of the lasso tightens around the target, restraining its movement. Once the creature is grappled by the lasso, it can't move more than the range of your lasso away from you. As long as you hold the lasso, the creature remains grappled. The lasso's length allows you to maintain control and restrict the creature's movements within a certain range.
On its turn, a grappled creature can use its action to make a Strength check contested by your Strength (Athletics) check to free itself from the lasso. If the creature succeeds on the Strength check, it breaks free from the lasso's restraint. The lasso has an Armor Class of 13 and 2 hit points per 15 feet of rope. If the lasso takes sufficient slashing damage, it can be severed, causing it to no longer function as a grappling tool.
