The Tyranno Blade is a katana of legendary status, originating from the mythical first age. Forged from the colossal scales of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it exudes a primal connection to the ancient world. The hilt of the blade is intricately carved from a Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of the swordsmith known only as "Ryūjin". The blade itself shimmers with a faint, primordial energy, hinting at its untamed power.

Due to its legendary status and unparalleled craftsmanship, the Tyranno Blade is valued at approximately 75,000 gold pieces. However, its true worth lies in its historical and mystical significance, making it a priceless artifact to collectors and adventurers alike.

The Tyranno Blade was crafted by the master swordsmith Ryūjin during the first age, a time when mighty beasts roamed the land. Ryūjin sought to capture the raw, untamed power of the Tyrannosaurus Rex within a weapon, and thus, the Tyranno Blade was born. Legends say that the blade channels the primal might of these ancient giants, granting its wielder devastating power in combat. Warriors who have wielded the Tyranno Blade describe a deep connection to the primeval world, feeling as though they are channeling the very essence of the Tyrannosaurus Rex with each swing.

Attunement:

To attune to the Tyranno Blade, a character must spend a short rest focusing on the weapon while in the presence of a source of natural power, such as a mighty forest, a great river, or the bones of a large prehistoric creature. The character must also be of non-evil alignment, as the blade’s primal power does not resonate with those of malevolent intent.

Special Features:

  • Primeval Power: The Tyranno Blade is a magic weapon that grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.
  • Savage Strike: When you score a critical hit with the Tyranno Blade, the target takes an extra 1d12 slashing damage.
  • Prehistoric Might: While attuned to the Tyranno Blade, you have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • Fearsome Visage: When you unsheathe this weapon, you can use a bonus action to cause the blade to emit a terrifying roar. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that can hear the roar must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Once this feature has been used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
