Objective: Investigate and dispel the evil spirits haunting the ruins in Highmarsh.

Quest Description:

The old ruins nestled within the Highmarsh forests have recently become a source of dread and unease. Disturbing noises and ghostly apparitions have been reported, unsettling the nearby town of Northgate and its surrounding areas. Local authorities believe that an ancient evil has awakened, casting a dark shadow over the land.

Adventurers of stout hearts and firm resolve are urgently needed to investigate the cause of these disturbances and to put an end to the hauntings plaguing the region. Your mission is to venture into the ominous ruins, uncover the source of the spectral activity, and dispel the malevolent spirits that reside there.

Reward: 250 gold pieces upon successful completion of the task.

To accept this noble quest, adventurers should seek out Captain Eldric in Northgate. This mission is sanctioned by House Hauser, the ruling family of Northgate, who call upon brave souls to restore peace to their lands and protect their people from the growing threat.

Laying Asher To Rest

The Travellers successfully located the tomb of Asher Karlstain, deep within the ruins of Highmarsh. Upon arrival, they found the burial site desecrated, its once-sacred halls defiled by dark influences. The air was thick with an unnatural presence, and the lingering corruption had stirred Asher’s spirit into vengeful unrest.

Determined to restore order, the party cleansed the tomb of its taint, battling through the lingering forces that had disturbed its sanctity. In a final confrontation, they faced the wrathful spirit of Asher Karlstain himself, who lashed out in fury, bound by the desecration of his grave.

With skill and resolve, the Travellers vanquished the tormented soul, bringing peace to the long-dead knight. As the corruption dissipated, an eerie stillness settled over the ruins of Highmarsh. The restless energy that had plagued the city faded, and an unmistakable sense of calm spread through the desolate streets. Though the ruins remained, the echoes of the past had finally been laid to rest.
