Drolo the Dark

Spiritwalker of the Aerthindor Morrighr
NPC, Druid

Drolo the Dark, an imposing orc druid from the depths of the Riverwoods, is a member of the Aerthindor Morrighr tribe, also known as the Shadowed Kindred of the Druids of the Riverwoods. Despite his formidable size and a natural predisposition toward a fiery temper, Drolo cultivated a reputation for agility and silence, key attributes that helped him ascend to the revered position of Spiritwalker within his tribe. His role involves deep spiritual connections with the natural world and communication with the spirits that inhabit it.

Drolo's journey took a significant turn when he was entrusted with a mission by the tribe's Seer of Omens, Deryn Draiggoch. The seer tasked him with investigating a mysterious call emanating from the dead marshes of Highmarsh, a desolate and eerie landscape. This mission marked Drolo's first venture beyond the familiar confines of the Riverwoods. During his travels to Highmarsh, Drolo encountered a distressed ogre. Moved by a sense of kinship and compassion, he aided the ogre, who then chose to accompany him. Without a name, the ogre became known simply as "Brother," forming an unlikely but steadfast partnership with Drolo. While Drolo serves as the spirit guide and seeker, Brother provides brute strength and protection, creating a balanced and formidable duo.

In Highmarsh, Drolo faces the daunting challenge of uncovering the source of the ominous call. The environment, however, offers little assistance; the once-vibrant flora is now dead or eerily silent, even towards a druid like Drolo. This silence, unnatural and foreboding, complicates his mission and hints at a deeper, more troubling mystery. Together, Drolo and Brother navigate the bleak and perilous landscape of Highmarsh, driven by a sense of duty and the enigmatic call that drew them there. As they delve deeper into this forsaken land, they confront not only the challenges of the environment but also the mysteries that threaten the balance of their world.
