A multifaceted crystal suspended in a fine silver frame, the Arcane Prism glimmers with ever-shifting colors. Created by the whimsical mage Fredrik Summers of Bullholm’s The Ebon Vault, the prism was originally designed as a teaching tool—though it proved far too unpredictable for classroom use. Fredrik Summers never did perfect his control over elemental forces, but he embraced the chaos with delight. The Arcane Prism was born of that philosophy—powerful, dramatic, and thoroughly unreliable. “Why settle for fireball,” he once said, “when you could have acidball... or radiantball!?”
When held up to light, the prism refracts it into wild elemental hues, revealing the chaotic spectrum of raw magical potential. While attuned to the Prism, your spells briefly shimmer with multicolored energy as they’re cast. This has no mechanical effect but might draw the eye in social or stealth situations.
