Crafted by the artificers of the Vache Kingdom during the foundation of its inquisition, the Hauntpiercer Blade was engineered specifically to combat ghosts, specters, and necrotic horrors that plagued the land. Each blade is bound with thin, silver-threaded arcane channels that phase partially into the Ethereal Plane, allowing it to strike where ordinary weapons fail.
These swords were standard issue for the Deathwatch, an elite order of inquisitors and witch hunters. Many were lost throughout the years, while others were quietly sold or stolen. Today, they are rare but can sometimes be found in oddity shops, dark collections, or within tombs.
Properties:
- Magic Weapon: This sword grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.
- Ghostslayer: When you hit an undead creature, the blade deals an additional 1d6 force damage.
- Ethereal Edge: The blade exists partially in the Ethereal Plane, allowing it to strike incorporeal creatures with full force. It ignores resistance to necrotic and force damage.
- Warded Grip: While attuned and holding the blade, you have advantage on saving throws against being frightened by undead.
