Sheriff's Notice

To the residents of Wenderly Farm,

I write to you on the first day of assuming the duties of Sheriff, a role I take up with a heavy heart. My cousin, Sheriff Zorkan Breestone, gave his life on the road in service to this community. His killers… ELVES… cut short the life of a man who stood for the safety and stability of this dale. His loss is personal to me, but it is equally a loss for all of Harvest Town.

In recent months, we have faced a rise in dangers: elven aggression on the roads, drow raids along the borders of Mistledale, and smaller threats that prey upon uncertainty. These are not challenges we can ignore, nor can we continue with the same approach that served us in calmer seasons.

Effective immediately, I am forming a Security Council composed of individuals equipped to respond quickly, advise clearly, and help guide our town’s defensive efforts. This council will include representatives from the mayor’s office, the militia, religious community of the Green Bell, and several trusted citizens who have long supported our safety. Their purpose will be to coordinate responses to threats, strengthen our patrols, review defensive needs, and ensure that no danger to Harvest Town grows unnoticed or unanswered.

A townhall meeting will be held so that every resident has the opportunity to hear the changes in full, voice concerns, and understand what steps we will take together. Your presence is needed. Your questions are welcome. Your support is vital.

I would like the three of you to attend this meeting, and ultimately join our Security Council so that we may work together to protect our community.

The townhall meeting will take place at the community hall on the evening of the 28th day of Uktar. Notices will be posted with the exact hour at the townhall. Until then, militia patrols will be expanded, and any sightings of suspicious individuals—particularly elves and drow near the roads—should be reported directly to my office.

Harvest Town has endured storms, scarcity, and sorrow, but it endures because its people stand together. Under my watch, that unity will remain our strength and our shield.
