-Lucille staggers into town and finds the nearest person to talk to. We hear that the Returned’s outpost has been raided by the OSR.
-Vaughn was captured, others currently unknown.
-We decide to go ask Jenkins for help, informing her that it was likely McNealy who attacked the camp. She agrees to supply a truck with medical supplies and aid alongside two medics and one soldier (Gregor from last session).
-I get a pair of fatigues, Hans builds a flashbang duck, and then we all get to the truck and start heading toward the returned camp.
-Dip and Vance approach first and notice people who look like Returned members confront them, thinking they’re OSR.
-They convince the Returned that we’re not OSR, and we bring the truck in.
-No one died, it would appear that the OSR took a lot of the younger members of the Returned.
-The OSR that attacked took almost all of the Returned’s supplies, specifically electronics, and then blew up the building holding any supplies that were left.
-They came in from the East of the Returned camp and left in the same direction after the raid.
-Abe begins tending to the wounded and we radio back into Jenkins to come to the camp with more support and vehicles.
-Out of the Returned that were kidnapped, one of them was a pyromancer, and the other three had the ability to change mental states. Of those three, one could change people’s feelings and opinions, one was able to levitate things, and Vaughn can heal well.
-I recall that McNealy is operating out of a camp called Camp Legendary, which will likely be near where the Gate used to be. I also notice that the OSR tracks are heading to the Elder Woods.
-We take a truck to the edge of the woods and then enter on food. A fog starts appearing as we do so. Amati finds the fog terrifying and runs into the woods, getting everyone lost when they try and chase after him.
-Dip recalls that the Elder Woods is a valley and that if we want to leave we can walk up and out, but if we want to find the camp, we should head down through the center of the Valley.
-We decide to do the latter and along the way see spotlights sweeping in the distance as it slowly becomes nighttime.
-We find the camp and the fog has suspiciously thinned. There are guards and search towers and barbed wire fences with tents and strange boxes on wheels and a giant concrete building that’s probably a warehouse.
-In the middle of the camp, there appears to be a giant ring with spotlights on it on a platform and flying machines going about.
-We also see in the camp a giant metallic strutted tower that has collapsed onto the ground, but clearly is still in use for something or other.
-We enter the camp by sneaking through the barbed wire. We go to one of the research pods and Dip sneaks up and sees two scientists arguing inside. One left, and then I pretend to be an OSR soldier on patrol and convince the scientist to open the door after which Vance knocks him out. Dip then starts digging through the files on a computer inside.
-We see videos of the Chosen used to open the gate, doing so willingly. Dip also finds a file that contains information on a bunch of the different Chosen and ranks them based on combat ability and so forth.
-Gregor informs us that the broken tower was an “artifact” that kept the Chosen in check.
-From the document Dip finds we figure out that the Returned that were stolen are being kept at Camp Legendary, which isn’t this camp.
-We make our way into the warehouse and Dip eats the skill pod and remembers the password and login for the manifest computer.
-As we approach the loading dock, we see an automated forklift moving battered and used up cables that have been re-spooled and boxes that are old but are well preserved.
-We then find the cypher containment area and Dip manages to crack the keypad code. We stock up on cyphers, and then set up a system to destroy all the cyphers in the warehouse and then got a truck and started heading toward the New Camp Legendary
-We drive right in with me lying to the guards about being a representative of OSR, and then head to the cell block where the belligerent Chosen are being kept. After a quick combat, we saved them and then headed outside and heard an explosion from the medical facility where the others Returned are staying at.
-We escaped and then headed out and managed to find Vaughn who had helped the others escape from the medical facility into the woods outside.
-The OSR has used Vaughn to somehow revive Mason, one of the first Chosen and the one who was the best battery for the OSR Gate. Vaughn has to stay in connection with Mason to keep him alive, because Mason is basically a corpse at this point, but is fully sentient. -I spent 6 exp to help establish a medical triage/tent for Vaughn and Mason to stay at in order to try and keep Mason alive.
