Mason was the Office of Strategic Recursion's key asset for their operations in Truetopia, and potentially more, given his gift. He is capable of opening and maintaining gates between recursions he has been, effectively creating what is known as an "inapposite gate", which allowed movement between recursions without going through a process known as translation. While the technology used by OSR seems capable of creating these gates with other Gifted, Mason was almost distinctly "purpose made" for this. However, during the events of The Reveal, he perished, and the connection between OSR's recursion and Truetopia were severed.
Mason currently exists as a sapient corpse, sustained by Vaughn's gift. It seems OSR was attempting to reanimate him to power their new gate. Barring a miracle, this man is dead, and the longer he is attached to Vaughn, the more likely Vaughn will perish alongside him.

This track progresses each session that passes. Efforts to stabilize it will halt its progress. The end for Mason is inevitable, but should this track reach completion, Vincent Nowak dies.
Convincing Vincent Nowak to give up their childhood friend is an extremely challenging task, but this track can be put to rest if such an obstacle is overcome.
