-During the send-off of the He Himself back to its home world, the ceremony is cut short as a malfunction sucks our party through the gate alongside Councilwoman Jenkins and Gregor.
-We hear a booming voice in the sky announcing that the recursion stability is dropping
-”Alert, alert, recursion stability at 65% and dropping. Attempting rest of primary repair protocol. Failure. All personnel, please head to your local evacuation point.”
-Alice discerns from a nearby terminal that we ended up where we’re supposed to be, but that the stability of the recursion isn’t dropping fast enough for us to be immediately worried
-We decided to head towards where West Village would be since we’d likely find any survivors there
-Along the way, we see some weird stuff, like trees with trunks made of branches and branches made of trunks. There are no shadows, a blank lit sky. Birds landing upside down
-We continue forth as Abe tells a story to help us traverse the forest and land
-As we continue and traverse the scrublands, we find a giant wall of water in front of us
-I stick my hand into it, and the Atani walks into it and sees a giant eye and tentacles flailing about
-Using a rope and some back-and-forth fighting, we manage to make it past and continue on till we find a dilapidated version of West Village
-In front of the broken clocktower, a much older Mr. Sudo sits in a lotus pose, and as we approach, he addresses Jenkins and Gregor and chastises them before realizing that we aren’t native here
-He tells us that Martina went north after sending the message we heard through the gate from her to find the fixer. He also informs us that there are survivors at Camp Mythic
-He also informs us that the loud voice we’ve been hearing is a sentient machine
-We decided to head out to find Martina first
-After trudging through a rainstorm of stuff that turns into goop when it hits the ground, we find a bog-type area that Atani manages to navigate through
-We find Martina with a faceless yet well-dressed individual who introduces themself as Phyx having tea, and Phyx invites us all to join them
-Phyx refers to the voice in the sky as the Overwatch
-Martina implies that if she leaves the tea party with Phyx, then they will become unstable, though I have no idea what that means
-We decide to take Martina and head to Camp Mythic to rescue the other Truetopians there
-As we walk, there’s a 20ish-foot sphere around Martina keeping the instability of the recursion at bay
-As we’re traveling, we see purple mist around Martina’s bubble that seems to be fixing instability, but the moment it leaves, everything reverts again
-We make it into the camp and approach the control tower that is influencing the Truetopians with the collars on
-Tuinn tries to jump to the top and smash it with a crowbar but finds it surprisingly sturdy. Jenkins then informs me that the towers are nearly indestructible and that we should look for a
box that controls the tower instead
-As she relays this, Tuinn joking hits the ceramic tower again and an alarm goes off across the camp
-We start racing around the camp to locate where the box could be, and I realize from trip to the Camp Mythic in our Truetopia that it is likely in the detention center
-We begin heading that way but hear boots heading our direction, so Abe, Alice, Tuinn, Martina, and Jenkins stop to distract them as Atani, Gregor, and I head to the detention center
-The other group maintains their distraction long enough for us to find the room the box is in, and after some careful deduction, I’m able to find the off button which shuts down all the collars controlling the Truetopians
-We then collect everyone and head back to the Gate in Camp Legendary, finding Mr. Sudo waiting for us like he said he would
-He mentions something about a being coming after us but doesn’t elaborate
-As I ask who they are, a rift rips open and a massive, insect-like creature looks out, staring at each of us, looking confused, before scurrying out and circling us and then heading back into the rift it came from with screaming coming through
-Phyx approaches us through the woods, becoming more and more unstable and upset before he announces that we’re threats to the incursion
-The Sudo Mr. Sudo hands me a pocket watch to give to the real Mr. Sudo before stepping in to distract Phyx so that we can escape
-As we rush through the gate, monsters (not the insect ones) start pouring out of the woods and rushing us, but we manage to escape
-As we’re traversing the gate, purple tendrils of miasma whip out and grab Jenkins and Gregor, whisking them away to who knows where
-The rest of us make it through, and as we arrive on the other side, it appears that only a few minutes have passed and it looks like a metaphorical tornado has come through
-I give the pocketwatch to Mr. Sudo, who appears puzzled at first before saying “Repair protocols engaged” and walking off
-Cailin approaches and asks where the Jenkins went and I spill that she and Gregor were stolen away by something while traversing the gate
-We find that the Truetopians we rescued from the collapsing recursion are actually natively from our Truetopia, and also that we can no longer access the recursion that was collapsing
