Ordained By The Stars To Rule Over All!

The Crown of Unknown, nestled within the heart of the Ardenroots, stands a testament to the Digir's mastery of architecture and engineering. Carved into the very roots of the Ardenroots mountains, the city was a vertical marvel, its tiers descending deep into the earth below. Each level of the city pulsed with life, illuminated by the soft glow of luminescent crystals embedded in the walls.
At the pinnacle, reaching towards the sky like a silent sentinel, stands the Great Tower of MUL-ANU. Its spiraling form was a beacon of hope and a symbol of the Digir's resilience. From its heights, one could gaze out over the vast expanse of the Ardenroots, a sea of mountains stretching into the horizon, their peaks crowned with the remnants of bygone ages. The Crown of MUL-ANU stands as a testament to the Digir's ability to thrive in the most inhospitable of environments, a shining example of their ingenuity and perseverance.

Government

Government

This city is the center of political power in the Digir nations. A senate, each of the Holy Uru-Ká sending a representative to the senate. From there they hold council with the head of the senate, the ruler of the Crown of MUL-ANU. From here all decisions dealing with the Digir nations are made and from here are they sent forth into law and religion.

Demographics

The Crown of MUL-ANU covers an area of approximately 1,318 acres, in city and in valley, with a total population of 30 thousand people. The city has 29 Unknown houses and 300 Unknown houses. The peace is kept by 699 Unknown of various types and another 2,097 ready to defend the faith.

As with many Digir cities, the population of the Crown of MUL-ANU is almost exclusively Digir save for a few captives and what meager traders are trusted enough to be allowed entry.

Industry & Trade

The Crown of MUL-ANU is self-sufficient, requiring very little from the outside world thanks to the minerals and biomes within the mountain, as well as the Four Sacred Valleys: Sipar, Nipar, Eipar and Wipar which produce a great deal of agricultural goods.

Effectively a massive tower, the Crown of MUL-ANU rises many hundreds of floors up through the Ardenroots. Within, each floor is a series of city streets, great stone buildings and ziggurats. As if every facet of their lives should take place in a temple, the digir here went to great lengths to make every stone, every street, represent the idea of a massive temple.

Districts

Many Digir pillar-cities group floors by general usage and labor. These groupings of floors thus create a form of city district.

  • Senatorial Levels - The only six levels exposed to the open air, rising up from the peak of the mountain. Here senators and clerics are housed. Here is also the senatorial council chamber and the manor of the senatorial head as well.
  • Temple Levels - Here is housed a temple to each of the MUL gods as well as libraries for various usage. The mass of the religious caste are housed here.
  • Militant Levels - Here are housed the garrisons, smiths, soldiers and other processes for war.
  • Industrial Levels - Guilds and workers are stationed here. Great lifts move products up and down levels. Additional housing for commonfolk is found here.
  • Wardu Levels - Any Digir unassigned or dishonored as to be effectively removed from society are housed at the lower levels. Only the most bare attempts at industry and civil service are observed here.
  • Vault Levels - The lowest levels of the pillar and used to store dangerous objects and organisms.

History

Supposedly, when the Ardruid Unknown created the Good Son, he forced the Digir from the night skies. In doing so, he relented that he should be responsible for housing them. So, he created a vast tower within a mountain. It would reach to the skies so the citizens might always be as close to their gods as possible. Having done so, it was left to the Digir to decide how to live their lives and what laws to enact. The outside world had little to do with them, or so legend says, before the War of Stars and Stones came to a head.

It was quickly decided a senate would be the ideal arena to rule their people from, and so the first great senate was founded. Immediately, its first action was to call into power the Warrior-Orator Urhamsi Ubalnu Mul-Enki, at the ordering of Unknown Marduk Muranu Mul-Anu. In doing so, the senate's first collective action was declaring war on the Ardruids, as well as the date for the Feast of Marduk set. A war that went poorly and eventually saw the Digir forced back into their mountain homes.
