A blacksmith living in Limsa Lominsa, Lyoka is the girl to see if you need your weapons forged and your armor repaired. Her primary focuses in life are her job, enjoying her life by the sea that is nowhere near Gridania, and enjoying the house she won in a street brawl when the winner couldn't be decided by auction. No one expected the scrappy miqo'te with one arm to beat out that whole crowd, but Lyoka never did let anything hold her back if she could help it. Whether it was losing her mother, her brother, her arm, or the life and home she had grown up with, she has a knack for rising up stronger than ever when grief and tragedy strike.
More recently, she's become friends with a weird miqo'te who walked up to her and declared they were best friends within ten seconds of meeting her. No, she's not sure how that happened either, but he lives in her house now. He's a little clumsy and asks w a y too many questions (his record is 36 in under a minute, she counted), but he's friendly and earnest and tries his best. He helps in the shop, does grocery running when she's busy, and even (attempts) to help her clean up the place afterwards. He's also alone and hasn't been on the mainland long enough to establish a support system and she doesn't have it in her to let him stumble through that by himself.
