A curious and friendly miqo'te hailing from the Tchlotchme Isles located to the east of Costa Del Sol, A'hrinn is on a mission of sorts. He arrived on the shores of Eorzea not as a simple traveler, but as a man following a tradition called "Chasing the Sun."
Like many sunseekers, the A tribe of the Tchlotchme pay tribute to Azeyma. They believe that the truest gift the Keeper ever gave was not strength, but knowledge. She is the keeper of all things known and unknown and that they exist to catalogue and share everything in her name. They're friendly to passing traders and shipwrecked sailors, provided they show the same kindness in return, and will often bombard them with questions about the state of affairs across the waters. When the time comes to choose a new leader, they typically choose the oldest and wisest and debate amongst themselves until they've come to a decision.
In her name, they've developed the Chasing The Sun tradition. When a young miqo'te comes of age, they gain the right to travel to Eorzea (or further, if they can find the means!) if they so choose. There, they're expected to learn and record as much as they can while sharing Azeyma's wisdom and kindness in turn, before returning home to tell of what they've learned. Not everyone participates, of course; some simply want to stay home with their family. If the population is too low when the youth come of age, the journey can't be justified and may be put off for many years until their numbers are stable again. Active nunhs are forbidden from it entirely, unless another takes their place in their absence.
He's full of questions and excited to see and learn everything he can. In particular, he's on the lookout for any kind of knowledge that can help his tribe continue to thrive and better prepare for any future disaster that may come their way.
Unfortunately for his new friend Lyoka, he asks way, way too many questions at once in that excitement. And gets himself in odd situations due to just not realizing how differently things work in Limsa Lominsa. And he also tends to drop things a lot, but he's trying to do better! He's very much trying his best to do good by Lyoka, who was kind enough to let him live with her until her brother comes back. Speaking of, when was he coming back, anyway?
