Alexandre de Blaiddyd Biography

Alexandre is born on a clear winter day to his biological mother and father in the Pillars of Ishgard. He is deemed a healthy baby at birth, born with a caul that was preserved as was Blaiddyd family tradition. The locket containing it was given to his mother.

With Alexandre too young and too injured to assume family responsibilities, his uncle Rufus ascends to be the new head of House. Alexandre spends a year recuperating to recover his strength and his mind, but is never the bright young boy that he was prior to the incident.

Lying about his age after the death of his parents at the hands of the Dravanians, Alexandre enlists at the age of sixteen.

After two years of honorable service in the name of The Fury and The Holy See Of Ishgard with one additional year of squiring under an active dragoon, Alexandre received the coveted title of Knights-Dragoon himself. It was said between his companions that were the title of Azure were not already taken, they could think of no other to bear the honor and privilege.

After spending many years fending for himself in the wilderness, Alexandre had become a proficient hunter. On the days that he would have too much to preserve, he would find himself offering the excess to a gathering of people at the base of a hill. The man he offered the venison to the most was a meek man dressed in red with wide orange eyes, simply because he would not pressure him into small talk like his compatriots.

Alexandre assists in letting the heretics flee, taking the opportunity to cull some of the more poisonous barbs of what used to be his brothers. The survivors in the squadron flee back to Ishgard, and Alexandre is formally branded as an enemy and traitor of the state.

Witnessing the sudden effects of the cold snap upon the plains of Coerthas first hand, Alexandre's fractured mind begins to whisper that perhaps Halone had left them all to rot in the coldest of hells. He does his best to assist those that he can, but spends much of the early months offering mercy in the form of death for those who had become frozen fast to the ice.

Ysayle Dangoulain flees Coerthas to Dravania and comes into the care of the dragons at Anyx Trine, later on coming to meet the heretics who parlay with them. As she grows into her own under the wing of the man in red, Licano, she attempts to recruit Alexandre to their cause many a time. Despite her passion on the subject, he always refuses.
