Ahleh Oohrs

A silent offshoot of miqo'te who long ago obtained the blessings of Tiamat and her mate, Bahamut. They were once located at the remains of the World Tree in Meracydia, but after the subjugation of the continent by the Allagan Empire, have seemingly vanished off the face of Etheirys.

For now, the Autumn Court's inhabitants sleep, its hunger growing as it slowly recovers. Maws thirsty for new knowledge presently lay dormant and grow ever ravenous while tired bodies rest and recuperate.

Children of the Heartwood

The Ahleh Oohrs of Meracydia are an ancient tribe of mythra supposedly descended from the great wyrm Tiamat.

Though none dare to step foot upon the silent continent, the scant tapestry of Meracydia's mythos available to scholarly pursuit uncovers some few intriguing tales about this enigmatic tribe.

Legends speak of the Ahleh Oohrs' uncanny ability to burrow through the earth, but their method is unlike any mortal's. A tale tells a story of the "Malachite Queen", whose movement through the solid stone is likened to a serpentine spirit weaving between the stalks of grass. At the same time, the story tells of dire consequences that befall mortals who dare to emulate their touch — the very land of their arboreal sanctuaries bleeding, eerie cries resonating from the earth, and plagues unleashed upon the foolhardy.

It is little surprise that after the death of Bahamut and the subjugation of their sacred tree, that the children of the heartwood fell silent. Every year, on the longest night, their sister courts raise their voices in a song to coax a response from their oldest siblings.
