Ottilie is an unfortunate and unintentionally blooded former Temple Knight who recently returned to Ishgard after spending seven years presumed dead. The second son of Benoit and Anaïs de Faepoix—renowned for their work in midwifery—Ottilie was raised in the Pillars alongside his siblings, Maeva and Cyril. His family maintained close ties with the Spencer family, with Elias de Spencer being his lifelong best friend. Following the incident that led to his disappearance, Ottilie and his cousin, Emeal de Faepoix, fled overseas to Kugane. There, Emeal established a small repair shop specializing in technology and prosthetics—some of which may or may not incorporate Goblin engineering. Along with helping his cousin manage the shop, Ottilie worked as a sell sword during his time in Kugane. Now, with the Dragonsong War at an end, Ottilie has decided to finally return home. Determined to uncover the truth around his blooding and reclaim the life that was stolen from him.

Currently, he is employed as a house knight for house Chastelaine — a minor house known for their work in agriculture. He spends his time between their estate in the Pillars and their country home out in the Highlands.

Ottilie Blanche Chevalier de Faepoix

The second son of Benoit and Anais de Faepoix. Anais, adamant she was to have a girl, was severely disappointed when her second child turned out to be a boy. Determined to still use the name that she put so much time and thought into, Ottilie Blanche de Faepoix so named.

A name much hated in his younger days. As he aged he learned to accept the feminine name as something that was uniquely his. The cases of mistaken gender,  though, truthfully somewhat grating over time, were amusing.

In his time before leaving Ishgard, most knew his as "Otti" a simple nickname to try to put a masculine spin on the very feminine name.
