| Do you need a hand? | Symmonet is always happy to lend a hand to someone in need. Need something carried? Directions? He's on it. He probably won't help you run from a crime scene, however. You're on your own for that one. In fact, he might actually take you in himself. |
| The Knighthood | He comes from a family of knights and he's been training as a knight (and later a Dragoon) his entire life. Do you know each other? Are you friends? Rivals? Acquaintances who got into a really awkward situation and had to work together to get out of the awkward situation, bonding in the process? |
On and Off Patrol | One can encounter him moving about Ishgard at most times of the day. He might be on patrol, he might be on guard duty, he might be off the clock and picking up a hammer to rebuild a fallen structure or even relaxing in the Forgotten Knight. He's always got time to chat, however. |
| Fight Fight Fight | If you're going out into Coerthas to hunt marks or remaining hostile entities, please take him with you. He wants to go so badly. His lance is going to rust damn it- |
Estienne, who prefers going by Symmonet to avoid being confused with his boss the Azure Dragoon, comes from a long line of proud knights and dragon slayers. And his family certainly has the respect in society to match such a heritage. Having been raised on stories of Halonic heroism and glory since he was a child, Symmonet has always been incredibly proud of his martial skills and his service to Ishgard.
All that changed, however, when he lost his left eye to a dragon's spikes that tore right through his helmet. As he adjusts to his new vision (or lack thereof), he's been taken off of active Dragoon duty and put on other, less combat intensive duties. And as if that wasn't humiliating enough for him, while he was in the process of healing, the war ended and that job he was so proud of became entirely defunct. There were still pockets of hostile Dravanians throughout Coerthas, certainly. But his skills as a Dragoon were no longer needed.
Angered and upset by the realization that his entire life had been ripped out from under him in one fell swoop, he still goes out of his way to protect the city with as much pride as he ever has. When he doesn't have an immediate task, he goes out of his way to keep himself busy with restoration and helping to deal with any hostile entities who have decided the war is, in fact, not over. He’s also very restless and constantly looking for something to do right this second. This can manifest as everything from patrolling the city to hauling supplies between the Firmament and the Brume to picking up a hammer himself. If you think he won’t jump to the highest point he can find to help sort things out there, he absolutely will do that. Witness him.
