Havoc Marlowe

The Rowdy Hare

A former inhabitant of The Golmore Jungle, Ìvar Djt-Gilda was captured as a prisoner of war during the Imperial invasion and subsequent takeover of Dalmasca. Among those captured were other Wood-warders who'd tried valiantly to fight back against the audacious Empire and protect their homes, but in a battle of numbers it is only so long before the few are overcome by the many. Removed from the wood as a prize, he plotted with these kinsmen to escape their confines, but he got to know a little Hyur woman who called herself Marlowe during the interim planning and waiting periods. Miss Marlowe was one of the scant few to openly show kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine concern for the others in the POW camp, but did not survive the escape from their invasive wardens. To honor the sacrifice she'd made to ensure others made it to safety, he adopted her name alongside one of the desperate cries of one of the soldiers that tried to call for help.

"Havoc Marlowe" became his new moniker, and with newfound knowledge of how the Garlean troops operated, he became a guerilla resistance fighter to free other prisoners of war taken wrongfully by the Empire. When Dalmasca finally fell, he and the small band of fighters branched out from resistance fighting and opted to find more ways to either assist in Resistance movements or help free those taken by the Empire. His efforts turned him into a sellsword — a fighter for hire as long as the cause aligned with his own.

Today his efforts focus on finding kinsmen who have been captured and sold, and either freeing them or helping to facilitate ways they might get free of their captor.
