Our story begins in the Common Year (CY 574) in the storied world of Greyhawk, within a troubled land known as the Duchy of Tenh. Once a prospering monarchy that stood firm against chaos and evil, the golden age of Tenh has long since faded.

Over the past decade, the Duchy has faced turmoil on every border.

Amid this fracturing world, two names once brought hope almost two decades ago: Roghan the Fearless and Zelligar the Unknown.

Heroes of the people, they fought back the tides of barbarian raids and monstrous threats. They were legends in the making… until one day, they vanished.

Initially nothing was thought of with their disappearance as such was common with campaigns against the barbarians. Weeks, however, turned to months. Inquiries were sent and after two years a courier dispatched and no response.

In the past months trouble has brought speculation and rumors circulating that they not only had their end in the barbarian lands but evil took up residence in their stronghold. 

Some villages reported livestock missing, then glimpses of barbarians, bandits or worse, lumbering from the fringes of the north with frightening regularity.

And so, the Duke of Tenh - Elyeh III, has issued a call to investigate and resolve these concerns. Proclamations posted in towns, villages, and even fringe barbarian camps summon adventurers of every profession.

Riches, honor, and titles await those who answer. Even outcasts and strangers are welcomed—so long as they pledge themselves to the task.

And so here you stand having passed a band of adventurer types leaving town, you wonder how many have answered the call: would-be heroes, treasure seekers, exiles, and wanderers?

Some seek gold. Others glory. A few chase purpose—or escape it. Whatever your reasons, you’ve come to answer the call. The answers await, and with them… the Unknown.
