Task Force Valkyrie has had its claws in Anchorage for decades. Their prominence in the area was at its height during the Cold War. Considered a Dead-Zone by most of the higher ups, the organization's numbers have dwindled since the 80's. Until the earthquake of 2018, their base of operations serves as more of a holding tank for individuals passing to other, more demanding theaters while the task force's stranger and more esoteric members work on their own personal projects.
Following the uptick in activity after the events of the Halong Typhoon, rumblings of Anchorage's designation as a Dead-Zone changing have been rippling through the ranks. Leadership is on edge and field work is on the uptick.
