The Midnight Sun Bar

Status: Diana Volkova's Establishment — Spenard

Physical Description

The Midnight Sun looks like any other Spenard dive bar from outside—neon signs, small parking lot, blacked-out windows. Inside, it's warm, slightly run-down, and genuinely welcoming. Diana Volkova tends bar most nights, dispensing advice and alcohol in equal measure. The regulars include oil workers, aviation mechanics, veterans, and people who've given up trying to fit in anywhere else. What most patrons don't know: the Midnight Sun is where Anchorage's supernatural population can meet. The back room hosts conversations that would be dangerous anywhere else. Information flows more freely than the alcohol—though whether that's Diana's doing or something else is an open question.

Spiritual Landscape
The Midnight Sun sits on a minor locus with resonance of secrets and revelations. Diana didn't know when she bought the building; she learned later and decided to use it. The locus makes people more likely to share information they shouldn't—lowering inhibitions not through alcohol but through spiritual influence. Truth and deception spirits cluster around the bar, drawn by the constant flow of information. They don't take sides; they feed on the exchange itself. This makes the bar a remarkably poor place to lie but an excellent place to learn things.
