Personality and history
Zachary is a man driven by paranoia and obsession. Always driven collect knowledge at any opportunity. A personality trait that only grew worse after his first encounter with the supernatural. After he survived the skinned man a switch flipped in his head and what was once a competitive drive became a psychological complex. It was no longer enough for him to be the smartest man in the room he needed people to know he was smarter than them. Hunting became his way of proving himself. Every vampire he caught on film. Every slasher he baited into a trap. Every post to the Net Zero Forums was his way of showing off his intellect. Joining net zero was just his way of keeping score.
