The Mask: You might have thought that she just walked out of a club in LA, perhaps. Her hair might be classified as two weeks after being shaved completely bald, but she has a nicely shaped skull so it works for her. Her features are exotic in the way that your first crush looked exotic and while Gully doesn't have the sheer pull of someone with Striking Looks, there is a peculiar magnetism about her person - you would be looking at her behind a coffeeshop counter and you wonder why she's not photographed often. She's also one of those types that would wear jorts and leggings when sensible people tend to bundle up. Whether this is a fashion choice, a natural ability to shrug off the cold or mental illness is anybody's guess.
The Mein:
She is a Gray. Call her a Zeta Reticulan or a Roswell Grey, whatever, but that's what she looks like, this fairy for the modern age. Tiny nose, huge black almond-shaped eyes, battleship gray skin. A four fingered hand with a thumb becomes a three fingered hand with a thumb. Ufologists would gnaw on the necks of beer bottles trying to remain calm if they could see Gully for what she is.
Alien Psyche:
It has been a year and half of that was recovering, putting a semblance of sense and sanity back into her reality tunnel, the process of which turned near psychosis into a fearless self confidence, a contempt for artificial stipulations of any sort, and a pathological urge to test limits, for how else would you maintain to rise above them? This optimistic fatalism and occasional foray into violent activism lends itself perfectly into Dusk Court philosophy, for paradoxally even if you are doomed you can still save yourself.
The Mantle:
Hers is the silence with weight that exists in the transitional that is Dusk, and such erasure leads to a heightened awareness. The mind predicts certain readabilities and the subtle absence of such either triggers a gut reaction of unease or the silent escape from an overwhelming world, depending on the psychology of the one exposed.
Everyone is quick to blame the alien.
~ Aeschylus
Our constitution protects aliens, drunks and U.S. Senators.
~ Will Rogers
What we call the 'world' and the 'universe' is only one frequency range in an infinite number sharing the same space. The interdimensional entities I write about are able to move between these frequencies or dimensions and manipulate our lives.
