Beliefs: We stand with the natural world first, other ideals threaten it by seeking to exploit or disregard it.
- The natural order must be respected and preserved.
- Forces that upset the natural order must be destroyed.
- Civilization and the wilderness must learn to coexist peacefully.
The Emerald Enclave is a widespread group of wilderness survivalists who preserve the natural order while rooting out unnatural threats. The organization is decentralized, hardy, and reclusive. Barbarians, druids, and rangers of good or neutral alignments are commonly drawn to the Emerald Enclave.
Members of the Emerald Enclave are spread far and wide, and usually operate in isolation. They learn to depend on themselves more than others. Survival in a harsh world also demands great fortitude and mastery of certain fighting and survival skills.
Goals
- Restore and preserve the natural order.
- Destroy all that is unnatural.
- Keep the elemental forces of the world in check.
- Keep civilization and the wilderness from destroying each other
- help others survive the perils of the wilderness.
Views on Others
- Harpers: Most often allies as protectors of the world, but also believe they must steal or wield any power necessary to accomplish that mission - and have used extreme measures to do so that have left destruction on the lands.
- Lords Alliance: Seek to grow their cities' power and populations - this grows into the wilds around them as they take resources, pollute the waters and lands and air. They offer peace, but their violence comes through a million small careless acts.
- Order of the Gauntlet: They seek to be noble, but they act upon ideas rather than stand with the world we can touch and breathe - and so the battle cries that give them purpose become blind to that which is around them in the name of what they see as an immediate threat to their righteousness.
- Zhentarim: The darkest aspect of humanity is its greed and lust for power - this group is filled with its own greed while also supplying strength to so many others also seeking power despite the costs to the world around.
