Kinetic Bracers

Spellforged

(Forearm Bracers)

Created from metals refined from some of the deepest mines ever dared, these intricate bands can gather, hold, and redirect the energies relating to motion, force and gravity.

These items were jamming up the Forge of Spells when Our Party first attempted to awaken the machinery.  The malfunction was creating a feedback loop with an imminent explosion until Mon-Kei leapt to action and slammed the receptacle, freeing the items, but also binding them to his being. These are attuned and cannot be removed short of dismembering the monk.

The bracers became further enhanced with power, binding with a staff constructed from a minor earth elemental and a ring worn in their proximity. They now possess a low-level awareness, which at times can have a "mind of its own."

Kinetic Powers

To employ the redirection powers, at the start of your turn (and possibly before that in the case of reactions) you declare the amount of movement (feet of your turn's normal Speed) you "feed" the bracers to channel their powers.

Used MovementRedirected Effects
Each 20 ftBoost Martial Arts die one size (limited to 1d12) until the start of your next turn.
E.g., use 40 ft as a double-boost for 1d6-to-1d8-to-1d10.
20 ftAdd Proficiency bonus to Acrobatics check or jumping-related Athletics check.
(Can be on top of existing Proficiency but not "Expertise").
Each 15 ft(Once until reset with short rest) Absorb Elements, gaining resistance to captured element at time of damage and lasting until start of next turn. Each 15 feet of movement held back is unleashed as 1d6 of added damage (of the element type) on the next hit made (on the next turn only - otherwise dissipates).

Static Powers

As Bracers of Defense (+2 AC).
