Alyks Askaria

Alyks is a Tiefling Wizard and Scholar from the city of Luskan far to the north. A peculiarity is she sometimes shifts to more of a purplish color, often when becoming more temperamental or taking initiative, while cooling her complexion toward more blue when calm and reflective. 

She has been a librarian and scribe within the Host Tower of the Arcane Brotherhood for most of her life, rarely venturing outside, though her magical studies and talent make her an exceptional source of information, particularly about the subjects for which she curated in the library, such as the history of The Netheril, their ruins and arcane works.

She has no family to speak of, growing up in the care of the wizards' tower, and has embraced the supporting people, from janitors to scholars and other children-then-young adults at the tower, including fellow student/wizard apprentices Nass Lantomir, Maccath and Dex.

Akyks has proven she is exceptional in her school of Divination studies, both helping and helped by her essentially living her whole life in the tower's libraries. She has also charmed her way into unusual trust and access to a wide range of the books.  Her dedication and talent has won her the attention of Zelenn the White, who has begun grooming her to become an instructor for the school of Divination magic. 

As someone entrusted with the care of precious flammable treasures in the books and scrolls, it is notably strange that in her classes with the Evocation High Master Kaeran Altarstone, Alyks has demonstrated an exceptional talent with magical fire, no doubt in part relating to her Tiefling heritage.

The Raven Queen granted Alyks Raven's Resilience after a quest to recover lost items.

Personality

Goals
Alyks loves nothing more than a good mystery and prying into ancient secrets. She has read many many books on the Netheril, to being perhaps the youngest expert on the topic for a long distance. Yet there is so much more to learn!

Flaws
Alyks is so devoted a student of life that she is more inclined to study a situation and taken notes when she should actually be running from danger.

Anger
Alyks can become enraged by the destruction or even disrespect of books, scrolls, paintings, tapestries - recorded lore and stories from someone who wanted to share with those who might have interest in the future.

Bad Habits
Alyks is quick to share with everyone all the things she knows, whether they wanted a teaching lesson or not - class is always in session with Alyks.

Loves
The warmer and bigger and brighter the fire -- the better! (Especially up in the cold north!)

Bonds
While some may find being a librarian dull, Alyks has made the collection and organization of knowledge her life's work - in particular the stories and secret lore of the Netheril.
