Xardorok is the patriarch of the Duergar Clan Sunblight, whose territory is northward-leaning out of the Underdark beneath the Spine of the World.
Xardorok is a talented warlock and crafter, pursuing a vision from his patron, Deep Duerra - the Duergar's deity and bane of the Illithid. (She is said to have taken from the Mind Flayers powers the Duergar have adopted.) He is extremely ambitious, driven to make his clan into a mighty kingdom.
He is reputedly seeking to join the Muzgardt clan by way of marriage, after the deaths of his prior two wives. He has sired nine children, four of them remain.
- The eldest living child, Xaerlyn, is his envoy into the deeps of the Underdark.
- Hjalthrun is the Captain of the Guard of Sunblight Fortress.
- Nildar has been on a mission in the Ten Towns of Icewind Dale, even building out an outpost near Caer Konig.
- Durth, the youngest, runs a smuggling operation from Easthaven.
