Made out of strange warm, yet metallic material, with organic-shaped filigree covering its surface, this torc looks like it would fit comfortably around the forearm. It easily stretches and contracts to fit snugly right below the elbow. Upon closer examination, the patterns seem to play tricks on the mind and swirl and shift without actually moving.
It is only after putting the torc on that its true nature invades the mind as a multitude of thin tendrils quickly emerge and pierce the wearer’s skin, muscle, and bone and proceed to mercilessly eat through the organic material.
Within 1d10 hours the whole forearm is consumed. However, as it eats, the torc grows alien tissue. First the forearm is replaced by mucus and gelatinous flesh that solidifies forming one tentacle, about a foot longer than the length of the original arm.
To the wearers dismay, this tentacle appears to have a mind of its own and wiggle, touch, and grab things within reach without much concern for the owner’s desires. Thankfully, with eldritch knowledge and practice, that lasts 24 hours, this appendage becomes somewhat controllable by the new owner and can be used as an integrated melee or ranged weapon. A choice which can be switched freely as a swift action.
Wearer must have at least 1 rank in Eldritch Lore to effectively control the tentacle.
