The Isodai are a guild of mages that is exclusively female. They are the largest guild in Galifar and serve as government advisors and government compliance officers. Every Isodai is accompanied by a male counterpart known as a "Ward" who is magically bonded to his Isodai and serves as her assistant. The bond between an Isodai and her Ward is such that they are able to feel each others emotions and feel each others locations. It is required that a Ward lay down his life to protect his Isodai and for a Ward to outlive his Isodai is to bare great shame, and usually, the Ward would end his own life.
The Isodai are organized by color indicating their purpose. The most common being Yellow who specialize in healing and empathy, then Green serve along side knights and are the strongest combatants. Next is Blue who serve as protectors, body guards and also guard The White Tower, Brown gather and preserve knowledge, and finally White act as the government advisors and focus on diplomacy in politics. There is a separate section of the Isodai colored Red that act as magical enforcement officers for all magic users, including other Isodai, who answer only to the Amyrlin Seat, the elected Isodai leader who wears Gold.
