The UP will kidnap anyone who does this and can legally kill them.
The only close to sentient AI is the Emma chatbot that is used as the smart-life operator.
All human-form Droids only follow the orders that are physically encrypted into them using microcode chips which only follow certain direct orders such as self-destruct or battle results. Changing the programming of these encryptions can only be done physically and not wirelessly.
Because of this, it is illegal for there to be more battle droids than there are human soldiers, and large storage of battle droids must be monitored by a human presence.
