This two-fingered, golden ring marks you as a member of the Fatebound. It is also your method of passage to and from The Eternal Instant. While on the Eternal Instant, you can see various images of locations on Western Eochora appear from time to time. If you take off the ring and look through its holes at one of these images, you will be instantly transported to that location. While in Western Eochora, periodically the Eternal Instant will appear as a star in the night sky. If you take off the ring and look through its holes at this star, you will be instantly transported back to the Eternal Instant. It can take up to 8 hours for the cosmic bodies to align in such a way to make this return transportation possible.
A side effect of wearing this ring is that your body is constantly being irradiated by extraplanar magic. As a result, there is a small chance of you randomly being returned to the Eternal Instant, or randomly being shunted to a location in Western Eochora or even another plane of existence.
Each Fatebound Ring is forged using the blood of a person intended to wear it. Therefore, it can only be used by its owner, cannot be removed against its owner's will, and becomes nonmagical if its owner dies or is dismissed from the Fatebound.
