In her youth, Sheshka adventured with the heroes Harryn Stormblade, Beleth Moonspeaker, Bennin Silverclaw and Briar. These adventures took her into the Eldeen Reaches during the Silver Crusade, where the group faced the forces of the The Wild Heart. Overcome with fear, Sheshka abandoned the party before the final confrontation, and though it seems they were successful in stemming the tide, none of her companions returned. She went back, later, and found an incapacitated Harryn Stormblade, whom she petrified and took back with her to Cazhaak Draal, rather than let the beasts of the Reaches claim him.
Sheshka, the Queen of Stone, is the leader of the medusas of Cazhaak Draal, and by extension is one of the more powerful warlords of Droaam. Her title is not just a statement of nobility, but of fact, Sheshka is the Queen of Stone. She has the strongest connection to stone and earth of any medusa living in Cazhaak Draal. Sheshka's petrifying gaze is so powerful that only she can reverse it, and similarly she is able to undo other forms of petrification with a level of ease that is unattainable to most medusa.
As well as her potent powers as a medusa, Sheshka is also a skilled hunter and a cunning strategist. Unlike some of Droaam's warlords, Sheshka is genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of her people. She isn't cruel, and while she respects the Daughters of Sora Kell and what they're trying to achieve with Droaam, she puts her own people first. For now she is an ally of the daughters, but if they were to put the medusas of Cazhaak Draal in danger, they would make a potent enemy of the Queen of Stone.
