Djinn are native spirits of Syrania, who embody the joy of peace and of commerce. Most of the denizens of Syrania are angels, who perform the necessary maintenance for the plane and for The Immeasurable Market, contemplating the concepts of peace, commerce, and learning. The djinn embody the luxuries that these things provide, dwelling in wondrous palaces in the clouds above the floating towers of Syrania, their every need tended to by Unseen Servants.
The djinn of Syrania are similar to the Efreeti of Fernia, but unlike their fiery cousins, they don't embody greed. They are comfortable in their luxury, and whilst they desire more, it's through appreciation of fine things and a desire to experience then and share them with others. The Efreeti covet what their neighbours have, but the Djinn want to share what they have with their neighbours and share in the joy of their company. The djinn represent the fruits of peace, and regularly hold grand galas in their floating palaces.
Djinn, like the Efreeti, are known for entering into pacts with mortals, exchanging power for interesting and beautiful things that they can display in their palaces and delight their neighbours with.
