Kalok Shash (Binding Flame) is the name that the Ghaash'kala use to refer to the divine force of light which calls them to the Labyrinth and empowers them in their fight against the horror of the Demon Wastes. The Ghaash'kala believe that Kalok Shash is made up of the souls of righteous warriors, and that whenever one of their number dies, their soul joins with Kalok Shash. In this way, even warriors that have left this world can continue to support their friends and allies, and hold back the darkness.
Scholars of the Church of the Silver Flame believe that Kalok Shash is another expression of the Silver Flame, the force that their own faith reveres and serves.
