Jaeinshar, the Golden Serpent, is the celestial patron of Samyr Kes. They are one of the last remaining couatl that exist separately from the Silver Flame, and they have sustained Samyr's life long past the point where he should've died. Jaeinshar hates what has become of the church, and is disgusted by those who use their faith as a justification for cruelty and violence. They have set Samyr against the Pure Flame and the theocracy of Thrane.
