About halfway down the length of the Glitterdrift lies the village of Krisek Yor. This community, composed of Morlocks, descended from those who fled the fall of Arak Yor, and Minotaurs that have escaped from the Tyrant's Horns and the yoke of the Horned King. This unlikely community combines their relative strengths to eke out a living in the hostile demiplane, ensuring their mutual survival.
The morlocks focus on cultivating edible fungi, crafting tools and building homes, whilst the minotaurs form hunting and scouting parties, bringing back meat and helping to maintain the map of the demiplane. They speak both ancient dwarven and old common. When exploring the demiplane, they use a unique language composed of whistles and clicks to convey information, and they train themselves to project their voices, bouncing sound off of the walls of the cavern to mask where the sound is coming from. Whilst these sounds are terrifying to outsiders, the villagers are not hostile to those that can show they mean them no harm.
The village itself is constructed from fungal bricks, cemented together with the glittering river water, packed into the walls of the caverns they call home. The bricks absorb sound, allowing the denizens of the village to talk and take a break from maintaining silence without fear of attracting predators (though they are still far quieter than most people found anywhere else.)
In the center of the village is a tactile map of the demiplane, carved into the floor by generations of scouts and hunters. The layout of the demiplane doesn't change, but the denizens will place objects into the map to mark the locations of resources and particularly dangerous creatures.
