This team of investigators have known each other for several years now. However they weren’t always hunting ghouls and ghosts. They were a group of standard adventurers going about their epic tales and journey with their own bonds that first brought them together. These investigators were Yaba Tuhl, Fremrock, Gazlit, Refractions of Dawn, Professor Mittens, Quinn, Blaise and their leader. One quest caused a frightful night for the team as one of their own disappeared without them knowing. They found them the next morning in the woods with a rather unique mark on their head and unresponsive. Desperate, they did everything and anything they could to bring them back. But in the end, there was nothing they could do. Their death became the team’s common bond as they dived deeper into the world of the occult, supernatural, and the general mystery of the unknown. With new quests of the supernatural and paranormal they worked together to try and solve the mystery of what happened that night.
Flash forward ten years, and we have a well-developed team of investigators tackling the things that go bump in the night and solving mysteries. They kept working together to hopefully come closer to the one mystery they have not been able to solve yet.
In their search, the team was hired on by a noble in Divelinson to investigate the Harmony Opera House. Walden Stein welcomed the team and informed them of the strange murders that had taken place. When questioned on why the cops wasn't involved, he shared his belief and hypothesis on the corrupt system that disagrees with the active monarchy. Due to this he claims that their hatred to nobles is why they have not conducted a in depth investigation of the place. Walden continues to inform the team that he wishes to turn the place into a club of some sort for he and his hunting buddies. This has caused some distain between him and the current performers within the theater. He meandered off as Diana Voxville alongside two others approached the group. The frail sick woman informed them that this was once the opera house that belonged to her mother Harmony Voxville. After her mother and sister's passing, the theater was sold by King Mond Voxville to Walden. She explained that there was a lot of history to this place and she wishes the team luck before they enter the building to sign in.
The group entered where they were able to witness a disgruntled Sasha as she confronts some workers. When addressed, she expresses her anger for the changes that are taking place as it was bringing about the Curse of Valora. Valora was once a notable performer within the region with her posters still shown on the wall of the theater. Sasha further explains the strange on goings she and others have experienced within the theater before the group continues their investigation of the place.
They explore the costume room, the dressing rooms and the main lobby. Mittens and Gazlit where the first ones to explore the dressing room where Sasha shared her experiences. Here, they weren't able to find anything notable while Quinn, Fremrock, and Blaise remained in the lobby and questioning the construction workers. The workers informed them of how the workers died and how they work in shifts of three. A ticket employee wished them luck and dropped a scroll of Guidance on the ground on her way out. Instead of keeping the scroll, Fremrock made the decision to eat the scroll.
After regrouping up with everyone they investigated the costume room where Fremrock was told to put all of the heads of the mannequins back. It wasn't long before they were summoned by a young Frecia Academy student to the ticket station. She clarified with them that they were investigating at night to allow the construction workers to continue working. When it was time for them to investigate she would let them back in.
However upon locking up, Fremrock and Gazlit took to the rooftops while Refractions hid inside and the others went for what they call Mexican food. On the rooftops Fremrock and Gazlit discovered holes underneath the tiles leading into a ducting system with a thin silver wire in each of them. Refractions was able to monitor the the workers and didn't catch anything out of the ordinary.
When night fell the others returned with the food and the investigations began. They traversed through the opera house where strange things started to occur. Things such as illusionary spiders, moving mannequins, dead bodies and blood, flooding water, and more. Some of these affected the team mentally while others affected them physically. After the auditorium doors unlocked, Quinn was on the brink of insanity while others were scared of the space they were in. On the main stage was where they encountered the ghost of Valora.
They fought the apparition until Mittens banished her. Readying their weapons, what returned was a individual in black full plated armor holding onto the head of ghost revealed to be Sasha. The individual before them was headless but a voice thanked them for weeding out a weak tool in their machine before vanishing. Quinn became insane, while others were on the verge of instability from that night.
They were met the following morning by Walden speaking with performers dressed in circus attire. When Quinn laid eyes on the group she was able to see a strange reddish aura coming off of Walden along with a a blue aura from one of the masked individuals. One of the individuals carrying a scythe was viewed differently to her than to the others. Where her friends saw a young woman in a ringmaster outfit, she saw the armored individual.
Revealing that Sasha was behind the mysterious deaths and strange happenings of the Opera House, the team was left with another mystery solved?
