Members of Strike Team 2 were summoned by the
agents assigned to the Cathedral of Hope. Vassal Nissa, called upon her former partners
in order to arrange a plan of attack against the newly reformed Thanatos. After
many years Kamina was able to return to the main headquarters and continue his
investigations. Upon his arrival he and the rest of the members were brought
into a meeting room where they were able to discuss their involvement in the
mission and whether or not they will proceed.
During the debriefing it was learned that
Annabelle had finally gone rogue and followed in the footsteps of her late
mother and father. She went through her ritual to become a Mother Matron and
earn her ritual tome. It was believed that with the tome and her awakened
powers she was planning on resurrecting The Blood King and completing her
father’s work. It was revealed that she was behind a string of mysterious
deaths and missing body parts that the newly formed team was investigating
within Sector 13.
Kamina agreed to participate in the mission and
proceeded to scour through the halls of the headquarters. He eventually learned
that his old partner Jay was in the medical bay after an encounter with an
unclassified eldritch creature. He snuck into room where he examined his body
and found that Jay had what he believed to be an essence stone embedded into
his chest. This caused Kamina to grow a little suspicious of the other members Jay
was stationed with.
Like old times, Kamina did some digging around
on the newly formed team. He learned that the twins Elara and Alara's files
were unreachable. Hana and Lotus were patrons of death, Abraham and Viscous had
an old tome of the sisterhood, and Kaiou and Kurusu were Eldritch blood benders. Eventually
Kamina dived deeper to piece together that each member of the team shared
resemblances and traits of the House of old.
After gaining access to Elara and Alara’s files,
he learned that the two twins were a result of an experimentation revolving
around immortality. Kamina slowly began to come up with a theory about what their
leader could be planning. He believed that with the old tome in Abraham’s possession
and Anabelle becoming a sister that the two would work together to bring a new
age of power. With the new age, each of the other members of the team would
become new representatives of the Houses not by their own choice. While using
the essence stone from Jay as a source of potential immortality using the research
of the twins then they would create a new world order.
Kamina felt like he needed to bring more people
into this idea and mindset and informed Nissa of his theory. Nissa was hesitant
at first but eventually warmed up to the idea. She suggested bringing in Elara
and Alara into the mix as another reliable ally. Although reluctant at first, he
eventually agreed.
The two of them had pulled the twins into a
meeting within the labs where Kamina damaged the cameras in there to prevent
anyone from seeing or hearing them. Here his where Kamina revealed to them that
he and the others were bound by the leader of The Dominion. He explained to
them that pieces of them are kept in a secure location and they are forced to
abide by the orders of the leader. Kamina further discussed the essence stone
within Jay and shared his potential theory that the leader was trying to
establish the new world order. Elara and Alara appeared to agree to assist with
Kamina and proceeded to gather up their allies to discuss their plan of action.
During the meeting, the twins saw the effects that the leader had on their
bound subjects. Kamina succumbed to a necrotic shock leaving him in a state of
paralysis.
Kamina disguised himself as a waiter in a local
restaurant where it was apparent that the team was having their discussions
with one another. He was able to overhear that they were reluctant to follow
the orders of The Dominion due to agencies questionable morality. However, in
their discussion was apparent that the team was split into three different
decisions. Abraham and Viscous wanted to proceed with the resurrection and
wanting to stay on his patron’s good side. Elara and Alara wanted to take down The
Dominion for their actions. Hana and Lotus were wanting to side with their
leader after Hana had been anointed into the House of Death. Before Kamina was
able to get more information from their meeting it seemed like time had frozen,
leaving him stuck. When he came back to, the others were already heading out.
It wasn’t long after their meeting that Kamina
and the rest of his allies formed Strike Team 10. They gathered one last time
to discuss their plan of action to detain Annabelle. Was agreed upon everyone
that the point of the missions was to stop Annabelle and to rescue her from
herself. They needed to head towards a pinpointed location where a rift into
the void was detected. It was believed that she was in there alongside her
father where she would proceed with a ritual.
Before heading out there was a small amount of
downtime where the team had pulled Kamina aside. They were asking him where their
pieces were kept in order to scout out the area. This brought a small amount of
hope that he would no longer be bound by The Dominion and be able to return to
the other Arc Angels. He escorted them to the upper level where the relics of The
Dominion were being kept. He was able to schmooze the guards and bring the team
into the room where his wings were kept behind the magical glass. Alongside his
wings were Nissa’s horns, Ori’s hair, Lucas’s fingers, and C.J’s heart. The
others were able to evaluate the room and took whatever information they had
back.
Before long, it was time to head out as the
newly made Strike Team 10. With Kamina behind the wheel, they headed out. The
plan was that the veterans were going to act as defenders while the newbies
went into the rift to speak with Annabelle. Not everyone proceeded to the
designated site. Abraham was proceeding with a plan to unbind the old Strike
Team 2 members. While at the site, everyone took up their positions as Jazz
acted as a power source for C.J to force the void rift open and allow passage.
While he held the rift open the others would fight any eldritch that came
through. However, it was apparent of the potential betrayal being eminent to The
Dominion.
Agents were sent to the designated site along
with the leader themselves to take the Strike Team down as soon as the job was
done. Kamina and the others held the agents at bay while the others were inside
of the rift. Eventually a surge of power began to course through them when everything
seemed like it was hopeless. Regaining his full potential, Kamina found that
his wings had sprouted back allowing him to fight with his full force and
momentum. The others came through the rift as he and his old Strike Team
managed to take down what was revealed to be Eliora Wittenmyer.
With the fighting now over and everyone through
the rift back to the proper side, it was revealed that Annabelle had succeeded.
The Blood King was resurrected; however, he wasn’t quite the menacing ruler
that the stories made him out to be. Annabelle was lost to another dimension
due to the actions of her father who was stuck in a void form. Agents scattered
as The Dominon had fallen into shambles at the fall of the leader of the House
of Death and founder of The Dominion. In the final moments three unknown
individuals appeared on the scene. They revealed themselves to be Luna Eventide, Domino Wittenmyer,
and Copper. Domino apologized for his ancestor’s behavior and claimed that
history was doomed to repeat itself.
