When the party were at the home of the Gnomish culprit, one Knillback Ralinkost, his foster parents gave them several notices of return for a book taken from the old town library.
The party head to the Temple of Erathis, that also doubles as the town's library. After speaking with a halfling receptionist they discover the book missing is entitled "Arcane Practices for Subterranean Mining".
While at the library Edward and Artax try to research more about the Iron mine and luckily find a journal of someone who worked the mines close to its closure.
Mornington and Fenris head to the Kiln Yard in the slums to speak with any miners that might know of details pertaining to the mine and what they could expect if they were to visit.
When the party meet up on the main road of town another crime occurs with a flash of magical energy, a cloaked figure is fleeing with a sack over their shoulder.
The party make chase, try to bring down the criminal with ranged attacks and accidentally injure a bystander.
Edward traps the individual with a wand of web just before he makes it out of town and the party detain him.
Questioning of the young boy before handing him over to Warner Kilner.
The party spend a night in the town after investigating all day and spend some coin for a nice establishment and a hearty breakfast upon Feastsday.
They head out to the site of the mine ready to delve deep.
Mornington disguises himself as Jack, the boy who attempted the robbery, before heading into the mine alone.
After confronted with a labyrinth of tunnels mornington makes it back to the surface to gather the other party members.
After heading to a central chamber with a large mining shaft, the party hear voices. All but mornington, still disguised, hide around the corner.
Its the halfling girl from greener's hill and an unknown thug, mornington interacts with them as Jack and they want to return to a lower floor by dropping down the mining shaft, they are about to step into the chamber and the other party members will be revealed.
